How to get top players in Dream Team?

Building a competitive Dream Team in eFootball requires a mix of resource management, patience, and understanding the different player acquisition methods. Here is how you can secure top-tier talent for your squad.

1. Using GP for Standard Players

GP (the blue currency) is the easiest resource to accumulate by simply playing matches and completing events. You use GP in the Standard Player List. Standard players are base versions of real-world players.

  • The Meta Strategy: Do not ignore Standard players! A fully leveled-up Kylian Mbappé or Erling Haaland bought with GP can compete with the best paid cards in the game. Look for players with "Unwavering" form and useful Player Skills.

2. Nominating Contracts

Nominating Contracts are earned primarily through the Match Pass (both the free and premium tiers). They come in 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star rarities.

  • How they work: You can exchange a contract for a specific player from a promotional pool (like "Transfer Market" or "Breakout Stars"). This is guaranteed; there is no gambling involved.
  • Pro Tip: 5-star Nominating Contracts expire after 60 days. Do not hoard them forever, but wait for a player that specifically improves your starting XI before spending one.

3. eFootball Coins (POTW and Epics)

Coins (the gold currency) are the premium currency, earned slowly for free or bought with real money.

  • Player of the Week (POTW): These 100-coin spins offer massive value for free-to-play or budget players. The players are already fully leveled up and often have unique, boosted stats or skills based on their real-life weekend performance.
  • Epic/Big Time Boxes: These 150-player boxes contain the absolute best players in the game (Legends like Vieira, Ronaldinho, Gullit). However, there is no guarantee you will get them early. It costs 15,000 coins (roughly $100-$150) to clear a box completely. Unless you are willing to spend real money, do not waste your hard-earned free coins on 150-player boxes hoping to get lucky.

4. eFootball Points

eFootball Points (the pink currency) are accumulated by linking your Konami ID across platforms and playing regularly. The eFootball Point shop regularly features legendary players or past featured cards. While these players are rarely "endgame", they are free additions that can plug holes in your squad.
